George Washington Carver (born July 12,1864) had a big impact on the way people thought about peanuts. He invented many things that we use in the world today. He invented those items only out of peanuts. He made over 300 things out of some peanuts he had gotten from his own private garden of peanuts that he grew after he was freed from being a slave. His parents were slaves, too. He was taken as a slave when he was a one year old. He also had a brother when he was one and that night that he was taken as a slave his brother he had ran away from the people that raided the house were they lived.

George Washington Carver later was wealthy. Big companies were selling his inventions made out of peanuts, some of them things like cream, ink, pancake flour, peanut oil shampoo, pomade (similar to hair gel) clothing dyes, stain removers, flour for any kind of baking, peanut butter (obviously), and more. It is hard to believe that he made all of these things using peanuts as a main ingredient. His inventions and his life were very important, but his earlier life was actually quite tragic. He was taken as a slave at the age of one, later released about 19 years later. Later on, he grew to be quite happy, making delicious delicacies from just peanuts and sweet potatoes that were grown in his very own private garden and stash of experiments. Mr. Carver passed away on January 5,1943.
